WE NEED TO DISRUPT THE CURRENT STATUS QUO
Current published statistics are frightening.
...136,000 Americans die each year from reactions to correctly prescribed drugs (JAMA)
...100,000 to 300,000 people die each year from mistakes in hospitals that are covered up, according to the government
...800,000 deaths are due each year to medical disease misdiagnosis (John Hopkins School of Medicine)
...125,000 deaths each year are due to infections obtained in hospitals from superbugs due to adaptations from sterile environments
This easily makes our medical healthcare system the number one leading cause of death in the USA, with cancer and heart disease a distant second at 500,000 deaths per year each.
That does not mean that medicine does not have a significant role in our healthcare system, but the question now becomes; should it be our first choice or our only option? Studies indicate that consumers want a system that supports their attitudes toward conservative therapeutics, emphasizing healthy lifestyle behaviors, clean nutrition, regular exercise, positive mental programs, and less dependency on dangerous, addictive drugs like Fentanyl, which was initially prescribed primarily for neck and back pain. They want prevention, maintenance, and wellness programs with a backstop of drugs and surgery in emergencies when necessary.
